glad
fun fact!
Did you know that GLaDOS is in Lego: Dimensions? She's a boss in the Portal add-on, and towards the end, you fight her by distracing her with another AI- Hal 9000, from 2001 ASO! I LOVE Hal as well, and am honestly considering making a page just for him, to be honest. He's my GOAT.

Another fact!
Ellen McLain, who voices GLaDOS, is a professional opera singer! Super sick and cool, and it helps explain how she can HIT those notes at the end of both of GLaDOS's songs! :) Just like this page has hit visits!

blinkies!
GLaDOS
I LOVE Robots and AI. No, obviously, I'm not talking about CHATGPT or things like that: but fictional AI and robots are my JAM. Not only do I really feel like I connect with them, they're often some of the better written characters in a video game. None other than my GOAT GLaDOS from the Portal series!
Portal has 2 games, and she feautures heavily in both of them. In a world where a lot of robots are portrayed as cold or emotionless, GLaDOS actively bullies you every chance she gets. Are you bad at puzzles? Destroyed. Stand too long in one spot? Eviscerated. She is funny, she is silly, and she is my favorite.

Midway through Portal 2, GLaDOS gets turned into a potato by the twist villain of the game, SPOILERS, Wheatley, another AI that I feel some amount of fondness towards. She is somehow, even funnier in potato form. Even though that's not her original form. Yes, there is quite a bit of debate about that- some people belive that Caroline, the research assistant to the lead man on the project, Cave Johnson, (who is voiced by J.K. Simmons, who also voices Ketheric Thorm in Bg3!!). Some believe that her consciousness was uploaded into GLaDOS, which I also belive is the case! It seems pretty clear to me when you listen to the lyrics of her closing song in Portal 2. Yes, she sings you songs at the end of both games. And they're BANGERS!
